dD+P was retained by New Visions for Public Schools in association with the NYC School Construction Authority (NYC SCA) to design new high school campus libraries throughout the Five Boroughs.

The new libraries are shared among multiple high schools that are housed in the same building/campus and reach beyond the stacks and classroom standards held in NYC schools.

An inclusive design process between dD+P, New Visions, NYC SCA, librarians, teachers, and students brought about a program including diverse areas such as Chill Zones, Flex Space, and an Information Hub.

Improved lighting and acoustics, color and texture, new furnishings, and sustainable elements such as the use of existing furniture and materials were included.
