On May 2nd, 2024, our studio lost a friend and colleague, Tony Cruz. Tony’s passing has left an irreplaceable void among his family and dD+P colleagues.
Tony joined dD+P in 2015 and was a Field Representative for the studio’s K-12 projects. He was dedicated to making educational spaces for children and young adults. His legacy at the studio includes the completion of PS 256Q, El Corazón del Bronx (PS 320X), PS 26Q, and the Susan E. Wagner High School Performing Arts Center.
We will remember Tony’s laughter, infectious energy, and mentorship. We are all grateful for the opportunity we had to be a part of his journey. Tony ― Kuya Tommy ― will be missed.
