dD+P’s work for the new MTA entrance at Queens Plaza, within a new mixed-use (residential with retail) building, included building temporary stairs to maintain access to the station while the existing building was demolished – connecting the sidewalk level to the pedestrian walkway over Queens Plaza North. Demolition has now been completed and foundation work on the new building has begun.

Queensboro Plaza Station serves the N, W, and 7 trains in Long Island City and is advancing with the recent submission of 100% drawings for the MTA’s review. Completion of the building with the new MTA entrance, including stairs and an elevator, is anticipated for the 4th Quarter of 2024.
