Last week, dD+P celebrated the completion of the first milestone for accessibility upgrades to the 14th Street Complex. Two further milestones, each with three elevators, will be achieved by the end of the year. The 14th Street F/M and 6th Avenue L stations are the first two of three stations within the 14th Street Complex to receive ADA upgrades, which included:
- 3 new elevators
- 4 new staircases and widening 21 existing staircases
- 2 new fare arrays
- Circulation improvements and state of good repair work
dD+P is providing architectural design and contract documents for ADA elevators and accessibility upgrades, working alongside engineering disciplines to prepare contract documents utilizing the Design/Build delivery method.
